The Code of Professional Conduct represents my commitment to ethical behavior in all interactions with you. If you should have any questions or concerns about these standards, please feel free to contact us at info@purposefullivingllc.com
- I will conduct myself with professionalism always. The professional-client relationship established is designed to facilitate the creation and development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy for moving towards those goals.
- I will remain self-aware in my interactions with you. I acknowledge that I do not know everything. In the event we approach a topic that I am not familiar with, I will develop the skills necessary (when possible) so I may develop strategies that will help you reach your goals.
- I want you to be successful. It is important to me that you reach your goals. Because of this, I will not perform functions that fall outside of my scope. I will know my limits. If the expertise you require must come from another professional, I will refer you to the appropriate party.
- I will keep your sessions confidential. Any notes made during the session will be kept in a secure place.
- I will not use or disclose the information you share with me during your sessions, except as authorized by you or as required by law.
- If I anonymously share generalized information for training or consultation purposes with other coaching professionals, your identity and any information that could lead to your identification will remain entirely confidential.
- I will not gossip about you. Gossip is disrespectful and will destroy the trust we build. I am only interested in your success and will honor you by showing you respect at all times.
- As your coach and mentor, I will not ask you to do things I am not willing to do myself. If I do not respond to self-treatment when personal issues arise that may impair or interfere with my coaching performance, I will seek professional support. If necessary, I will transfer your care to another party if I am unable to provide you the services you deserve.
- I will set clear expectations on my commitments to you, the commitment required from you, coaching, billing, scheduling, the cancellation policy, the agenda in coaching sessions, how crises will be handled, etc.
- I will not make promises I cannot keep. I will keep my word and be realistic.
- I will not expect perfection.
- In the event we find the coaching relationship is not accomplishing what it needs to, has stagnated for too long, or is simply not working, I will end the relationship in a timely and professional manner.
- I serve clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. I will not discriminate based on age, race, gender orientation, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin or disability.
- I will consistently demonstrate dignity and respect in all professional relationships.
- In the event any conflict or potential conflict of interest arises, I will notify you. If necessary I will remove myself if such conflict interferes or could interfere with your progress.
- I will respect your right to terminate the coaching relationship at any point during the process, subject to the provisions of the coaching agreement.
